lots of people think that grackles are annoying pests or ‘ugly’ but i think they’re totally disregarding how beautiful they are. they’re super common but are absolutely gorgeous; their iridescent feathers are really hard to beat. plus they’re very smart and resourceful - and, unlike most birds we consider pests in north america, a native species!
